In the Midwest, we love our hotdish, but desserts are the coveted prize at the end of the party. From pure chocolate indulgence to light and fresh lemon, your sweet tooth will thank you!

02 Feb: Apple Dump Cake with Caramel Sauce

CAKE: Grease 9×13-inch pan. Cream together eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla. Add apples. Add flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir together. Add walnuts. Bake 45-50 minutes at 350-degrees. SAUCE: Bring butter, brown sugar, white sugar and half-and-half to boil. Pour over slices of cake.

02 Feb: Apple Cuhan

Line a 9×12-inch cake pan with pie crust. Slice apples to fill half full. Mix half-and-half, sugar and eggs, pour over the apples. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg or cinnamon. Bake at 350-degrees for 1-1/2 hours or until it thickens.

02 Feb: Festivity Cake

Drain pineapple and save liquid for cake. Mix cake according to directions using juice instead of water, bake and cool. Mix pudding with milk. When thick, beat in Cool Whip and softened cream cheese. Spread on cool cake. Cover with pineapple and top with coconut. Keep refrigerated. Delicious.
