CAKE: Mix apples and sugar and let stand for 1 hour or longer. Add eggs, flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and nuts. Mix and put into a 9×13-inch greased pan. Bake at 350-degrees for 45 minutes. TOPPING: During last 15 minutes of baking time, mix together brown sugar, granulated sugar, 6 tablespoons flour and water. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Turn down heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and nuts. Pour over the cake while hot. Serve warm or cold.
CAKE: Grease 9×13-inch pan. Cream together eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla. Add apples. Add flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir together. Add walnuts. Bake 45-50 minutes at 350-degrees. SAUCE: Bring butter, brown sugar, white sugar and half-and-half to boil. Pour over slices of cake.
Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg and chocolate chips. Fix cupcake papers half full with cake mix. Drop a spoonful of cream cheese mixture into cake mix. Cover with more cake mix. Bake as per cake mix instructions.
Line a 9×12-inch cake pan with pie crust. Slice apples to fill half full. Mix half-and-half, sugar and eggs, pour over the apples. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg or cinnamon. Bake at 350-degrees for 1-1/2 hours or until it thickens.
