Rock Your Block 2016 Facebook Contest Official Rules

1. ELIGIBILITY.

The “Western Products Rocks Your Block” Facebook Contest” (hereinafter the “ Contest”) is open to individuals who, as of the commencement of the Contest, are permanent legal residents of the United States or District of Colombia and who have reached the age of 18 in their home state (hereafter called “Entrant”). Employees of Western Products and their immediate family members (defined as parents, children, siblings and spouse) are not eligible to enter the Contest. The Contest is void outside the United States and District of Colombia, for entrants who have not reached the age of majority in their home state and where prohibited or restricted by law. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

2. SPONSOR.

Western Products is the sponsor of the Contest.

3. TIMING.

Entrants may enter on the Western Products Facebook page (found at: http://www.facebook.com/westernproducts) beginning at 8:01 a.m. Central Standard Time (“CST”) on 5/2/2016 and ending at 4:00 p.m. CST on 6/6/2016 (hereinafter the “Entry Period”). Western Products is the official timekeeper for the Contest.

4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE.

To participate in the Contest, complete the following steps:

Step 1: “Like” the Western Products Facebook page:  www.facebook.com/westernproducts

Step 2: Complete any of the following options:

1) Comment on our Facebook post with the name of your neighborhood and what you love about your neighborhood.

2) Comment on our Facebook post, telling us about your next home improvement project.

3) Share our Facebook post on your Facebook timeline.

4) Sign up in person at our Design Center at 474 45th St. S. Fargo, ND.

Step 3: After sharing and commenting, entrants are qualified to win a block party for their neighborhood. Completing more than one option will enter you an additional time in the random drawing for each additional option you choose.

5. AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES AND DECISIONS.

By participating, each Entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to be bound by and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of Western Products, which are final in all respects. This contest is in no way sponsored, associated with, endorsed or administered by Facebook.

6. WINNER GUIDELINES.

Western Products will randomly choose a winner from all entries received during the Entry Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries.  The winner will receive a Block Party. The Block Party provided by Western Products, including food and seating, will feed and fit approximately 30-40 people from your local neighborhood block. If the Block Party is unable to be held, the Winner will receive $200 towards any purchase at Western Products. NO CASH OR OTHER SUBSTITUTIONS ARE PERMITTED, EXCEPT BY WESTERN PRODUCTS, WHO RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SUBSTITUTE THE PRIZE WITH ONE OF EQUAL OR GREATER VALUE.  Any federal, state or local taxes relating to the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

7. PUBLICITY.

Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Contest constitutes the Entrant’s consent to Western Products (and its designees, successors and assigns) to be contacted by telephone or email and to use their name or other information included in the Facebook post, for promotional purposes in any manner or media (including, without limitation, online), worldwide, in perpetuity, and without further payment, consideration, notice, review or consent.

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS.

Western Products reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate, modify or suspend the Contest if, in Western Products’ opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion, or if viruses, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical difficulties or failures or any other factor beyond Western Products’ reasonable control, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest. Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of law, and, should such an attempt be made, Western Products reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Western Products’ failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision of these Official Rules.

9. RELEASE.

By participating, each Entrant forever and irrevocably releases and holds Western Products and its parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, and their respective agents, advertising and promotion agencies, affiliates, partners and prize suppliers, and all of their respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders and agents harmless from and against all claims, injuries, damages or liabilities arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from Entrant’s participation in the Contest.

10. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY.

Western Products is not responsible for: (a)  technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, the malfunctioning of any telephone, computer online systems, computer equipment, website, server provider, network, hardware or software; (b) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any website or service; or (c) any injury or damage to persons or property, including, but not limited to, Entrant’s computer, which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Entrant’s participation in the Contest, or from viewing, playing or downloading any material from Western Products’ website(s), regardless of whether the material was prepared by Western Products or a third party, and regardless of whether the material is connected to Western Products websites by a hypertext link.
